Dominic Fritz, the president of USR, stated on Digi24 that there is no chance for the formation of a new government until the end of July, emphasizing the lack of a majority. He explained that the current political deadlock is the result of PSD's surprise, which did not anticipate that USR and PNL would not betray.
Fritz proposed as a solution a minority government formed by PNL, USR, and UDMR, alongside a minority PSD government. In the event that PSD does not support a right-wing government, he suggested early elections, arguing that Romanians feel an increased frustration due to the political deadlock. Fritz emphasized that it is essential to restore control through voting, thus providing citizens with a lever of influence over the political situation.
