Ciprian Ciucu, first vice president of PNL, stated that his party will no longer hold discussions with PSD for the restoration of the coalition, after the social democrats submitted a motion of censure and called for the removal of Ilie Bolojan from the position of president of PNL. Ciucu considered the PSD's appeal to be insulting and emphasized that the social democrats have assumed the political crisis.
He criticized PSD's intention to turn PNL into a subordinate party that would support their interests. Although he acknowledged that there may be voices within PNL that want to restore the coalition without Bolojan, Ciucu stated that the party will not betray its leader. He mentioned that PNL could end up in opposition, but this could provide an opportunity to reform the party.
In conclusion, Ciucu ruled out any future discussions with PSD, considering that the social democrats have exceeded acceptable limits.
