NASA has announced the allocation of approximately 590 million dollars for four robotic missions that will transport scientific instruments to the Moon, involving the companies Astrobotic, Firefly Aerospace, and Intuitive Machines. Astrobotic has secured two of these missions. The project is part of a larger initiative to build a permanent infrastructure on the Moon, with the first phase estimated at 10 billion dollars and completed by 2028. This includes the transport of equipment and the development of exploration vehicles. In the 2030s, NASA plans to build habitats for astronauts and install permanent energy systems. However, the difficulties encountered by Blue Origin are affecting the mission schedule, and NASA is exploring alternatives for launching the lunar module. Competition with China is accelerating the project, with both countries having plans to establish outposts on the Moon. The Artemis program has already cost approximately 100 billion dollars, and the next goal is to return astronauts to the Moon after 50 years.
