Hungary announced on Thursday that it is withdrawing from the International Criminal Court (ICC), on the first day of a visit to Budapest by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, in whose name the court issued an arrest warrant in November.

"Hungary leaves the ICC. The government will launch the withdrawal procedure in line with the international legal framework," the head of nationalist Prime Minister Viktor Orban's cabinet, Gergely Gulyas, announced on Facebook.
