The Trump administration has filed a petition with the Supreme Court to request a swift decision regarding the legality of trade tariffs, after the Court of Appeals ruled that most of them are illegal. The government argues that the appellate court's ruling creates uncertainty in trade agreements and that tariffs, imposed based on national emergency situations, have generated international tensions and economic concerns. Although they have generated revenues of 159 billion dollars, the tariffs are affecting small businesses, which are calling for a quick solution.
