During a recent phone conversation, interim Prime Minister Bolojan thanked Mark Rutte and NATO for the support given to Romania, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the Alliance's attention on the Eastern Flank and the Black Sea.

Bolojan highlighted the necessity of deploying allied capabilities in Romania, in the context of the intensification of drone incursions in the national maritime and airspace.

Another important topic addressed was the security of navigation in the Black Sea.

The statement issued by the Government reconfirmed Romania's commitment to strengthening security on NATO's Eastern Flank and supporting Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression, thus reaffirming the strategic position of the country within the Alliance.
