Russia reacted firmly on Tuesday to the military attack threats from the US against Iran, deeming them unacceptable. Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that such actions would have devastating consequences for the Middle East and international security. Moscow also condemned the possible tariff increases imposed by Washington on Iran's trading partners, stating that these are attempts at blackmail. Zakharova accused external forces of trying to destabilize Iran through methods akin to "color revolutions" and rejected foreign interference in the country's internal politics. Additionally, she mentioned that protests in Iran have decreased in intensity, suggesting a stabilization of the situation. American President Donald Trump announced the suspension of dialogue with Iran until the authorities stop the violence against protesters, threatening a 25% tariff on countries that cooperate with Iran. Russia, through the Secretary of the Security Council, condemned foreign interference in Iranian affairs, while President Putin refrained from commenting on the current situation in Iran.
