The Russian President Vladimir Putin declared that the West resorts to "terrorist methods" out of its inability to defeat Russia on the battlefield, referring to Ukrainian drone attacks on targets in Russia. In a session of the State Duma, Putin emphasized that the Russian people will not be brought down by anyone, highlighting national unity in the face of external pressures.

"Being unable to defeat Russia on the battlefield, they are now betting on openly terrorist methods in their fight against our people, but the people of Russia will never be brought down by anyone. That has never happened and will never happen", said Vladimir Putin.

He accused the West of activating the "Russophobic machinery" and trying to provoke internal divisions, but stated that the sanctions imposed on Russia have a greater impact on their initiators. Putin assured that the Russian political system is ready to defend the country, emphasizing the importance of the budget for national defense. Although the majority of Russians support the cessation of hostilities, he reaffirmed society's support for Russian soldiers in Ukraine, considering that the current moment is decisive for the future of the country.
