According to the non-governmental organization Iran Human Rights (IHR), Iranian authorities have arrested over 3,600 people in connection with accusations related to the Middle East War, which began on February 28. This figure is based on information from state media and independent research, but is considered a minimum, given the Internet restrictions in Iran.
Of the arrests, 767 occurred after the ceasefire came into effect on April 8. The accusations include espionage, communication with foreign intelligence services, and armed activities. Among those arrested are over 100 civil society activists, including lawyer Nasrin Sotoudeh, who was arrested on April 2.
Additionally, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Narges Mohammadi remains in detention, having a serious health condition.
