Maria Corina Machado, a Venezuelan dissident and Nobel Peace Prize laureate, suffered a spinal fracture following a tumultuous exit from Venezuela last week. Her spokesperson, Claudia Macero, confirmed the incident, noting that the information was initially published by the Norwegian newspaper Aftenposten. The fracture was caused during transport on a fishing boat, the journey being marked by extremely difficult weather conditions, including strong winds and large waves. After her arrival in Norway, Machado was examined at the Ullevål University Hospital in Oslo, where doctors discovered several injuries, including the spinal fracture. The spokesperson announced that no additional information will be provided beyond what has already been mentioned.
