Jeff Bezos stated on Wednesday, at a technology conference in Paris, that the improvement of artificial intelligence (AI) will not lead to the replacement of humans in the workforce, but will have the opposite effect, generating a labor shortage. Bezos emphasized that there are numerous tasks that require human intervention and that AI will reduce barriers that limit people's ability to perform these tasks. Although a recent Ipsos/Reuters survey shows that half of Americans fear that AI could take their jobs, the tech boom has led to the creation of hundreds of jobs and the emergence of new professions, such as vibe coders and prompt engineers. Vibe coders use AI assistants to establish the architecture of the code, while prompt engineers communicate effectively with AI, using creativity and logic. These new professions suggest that AI can be an ally instead of an enemy in the job market.
