Iran's negotiation team has suspended communication with the United States due to Israeli attacks in Lebanon, according to the Tasnim news agency. Iran has announced that it will not resume negotiations until the conditions for a ceasefire in Lebanon and Gaza are met. Additionally, Tehran has discussed with its allies the possibility of blocking the Strait of Hormuz and opening a new front of hostilities in the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi emphasized that any violation of the ceasefire will have consequences. Iran's decision was made after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu ordered attacks on Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. In this context, Lebanese officials hope that U.S. intervention will bring about a cessation of violence. U.S. President Donald Trump recently stated that Iran has committed not to develop nuclear weapons, a crucial topic in negotiations between the two countries.
