A senior Iranian official stated to Reuters that Iran will suspend attacks as long as the United States does the same, in the context of the U.S. halting bombings on Iran after 13 nights of attacks. This decision was made due to the depletion of military resources and concerns regarding American resources.
The U.S. Ambassador to the UN, Mike Waltz, mentioned that President Trump decided to suspend attacks to allow more time for diplomacy. Iran, which responded to American attacks with strikes on neighboring countries, stated that its position remains "attack for attack." Although Iran has suspended attacks, the Iranian official expressed skepticism about U.S. intentions, considering that the pause is more tactical.
