Lumpy skin disease in cattle has been confirmed in France, affecting cattle with symptoms such as fever, skin lumps and reduced milk production. The outbreak was identified on a farm in Savoie and authorities have imposed movement restrictions for cattle within a 50-kilometer radius. The disease, transmitted by insect bites, does not pose a risk to humans but may lead to trade restrictions.
