The new 35-meter antenna, located in New Norcia, Australia, will support ESA's scientific missions, such as the Euclid telescope and the HERA and BepiColombo missions. It joins three other existing antennas in Argentina and Spain, essential for communications with spacecraft at great distances. The infrastructure allows for the transfer of an increasing amount of data, featuring cryogenically cooled components to detect weak signals. ESA is also planning the construction of a fifth antenna.
