The President of the National Assembly, Jorge Rodriguez, announced the extent of the destruction, mentioning that 774 buildings were affected, of which 189 completely collapsed. Rescue teams, supported by international aid, continue the search in the rubble, hoping to find survivors. Volunteers accuse the military of inaction, while locals are mobilizing to recover victims. International aid has begun to arrive, with 521 tons of equipment and thousands of rescuers mobilized. Damages are estimated at nearly seven billion dollars, severely affecting the country's economy. Among the victims are also foreign citizens from various nationalities.
