John Ratcliffe has announced that the CIA has obtained credible evidence that Iran's nuclear program has been seriously damaged by recent US strikes, destroying critical facilities that will take years to rebuild. Although a preliminary Pentagon assessment suggests that the strikes temporarily delayed Iran's ability to develop a nuclear weapon, the White House has disputed that conclusion, arguing that the strikes effectively wiped out Iran's ability to produce nuclear weapons. The US administration is also investigating a leaked DIA assessment.
