The American intelligence services are analyzing whether Russia has provided Iran with assistance in drone attacks on CIA facilities in the Middle East, including by supplying information about targets or advanced technology. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not reached a conclusion regarding Moscow's direct involvement.

In March, at least two CIA facilities were attacked, including the station at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh. Sources suggest that Russia may have contributed to the increased accuracy of Iranian Shahed drones by providing the Kometa-M navigation system. It is also being investigated whether Iran used targeting data provided by Russia. If the suspicions are confirmed, Russia's involvement would mark an escalation of cooperation between Moscow and Tehran, aimed at reducing U.S. influence in the region.
