On Tuesday morning, air traffic in Belgium was severely affected due to a strike by a security service provider, and Brussels Zaventem Airport announced the suspension of passenger flights. This decision comes ahead of a national demonstration expected to attract tens of thousands of participants, organized by unions against the economic and social reforms proposed by the government led by Bart De Wever. Among the contested reforms are the limitation of unemployment benefits and changes to the pension system. Public transport has also been affected across the country.
