Following the heavy rains, Nepal has been hit by landslides and floods, resulting in the death of 22 people in the last 36 hours. The most affected areas are Ilam district, where 18 people have been killed, and other regions where lightning and floods have caused loss of life. Rescue efforts are underway, and the road infrastructure is severely affected, leaving hundreds of travelers stranded. Landslides are common during this time of year, especially in the monsoon season.
