Methodology: Data were collected between 26-30 May 2025. Research method: questionnaire interview. Data were collected using the CATI method (telephone interviews), the simple stratified sample size was 1150 persons, representative by significant socio-demographic categories (sex, age, occupation) for the non-institutionalized population of Romania, aged 18 years and over. The maximum permissible error of the data is ± 2.9%, at a 95% confidence level.

Remus Ștefureac - director INSCOP Research:  "President Nicușor Dan and former interim president Ilie Bolojan lead the rankings of trust in political figures with 47% and 42% respectively, with a fairly high and very high level of trust. Trust in personalities, which measures the opinion of the entire adult population residing in Romania, both those who voted and those who did not vote in the recent presidential elections, is an indicator that reflects a much more demanding assessment than other indicators such as confidence in personalities. The two leaders are followed in the trust ranking by AUR leader George Simion, with about 34% trusting quite a lot and very much, and UDMR leader Kelemen Hunor with almost 27%, both of them having the highest level of trust ever recorded in INSCOP Research polls. The ranking is completed by Victor Ponta with 20% trust quite a lot and very much, followed by Dominic Friz and Sorin Grindeanu with about 16% and 13% trust level respectively. The ranking of trust in personalities among the voters of the various political parties reflects significant differences according to political tribes, which underlines the strong political polarization in Romanian society resulting from the presidential elections."

Notorority and trust in political personalities at the level of the entire population

Nicușor Dan leads in the trust ranking with 47% trust quite a lot and very much. They say that 98.5% of respondents have heard of Nicușor Dan. The Romanian President is followed by Ilie Bolojan with 42.2% quite a lot and very much trust (awareness 92.4%) and George Simion with 33.9% (awareness 98.8%), followed by Kelemen Hunor with 26.7% (awareness 77.9%), Victor Ponta with 20% (awareness 97.5%), Dominic Fritz with 16.4% (awareness 57.3%) and Sorin Grindeanu with 12.9% (awareness 80.2%).
