The Ministry of Health has decided to withdraw PNRR funding for mobile units essential for cervical and breast cancer prevention, citing administrative reasons and recalibration of priorities. This decision comes in an alarming context, with Romania having the highest cervical cancer mortality rate in the EU. FACIAS draws attention to the major financial losses, stressing that Romania risks losing 10 billion euros from the PNRR if the authorities do not mobilize.
