The Ministry of Health invests 29.8 million euros in the first National Center for Research and Production of Advanced Cellular Therapies, dedicated to innovation in oncology.

This center, located at the Fundeni Clinical Institute, will mark a paradigm shift in Romanian medicine, moving from reaction to innovation in oncology treatments. The center will be equipped with production areas compliant with GMP standards, quality control laboratories, and research spaces. In 18 months, it will develop the first CAR-T anti-CDH17 therapy for metastatic colorectal cancer, using the patients' own cells. The project will form a multidisciplinary team of Romanian specialists, contributing to personalized medicine and the development of cutting-edge technologies in the country.
