In Sinaia, on the occasion of the National Oncology Congress, the National Cancer Prevention Campaign #WithOneStepForward was officially launched, under the auspices of the National Society of Medical Oncology in Romania (SNOMR). Dr. Răzvan Ovidiu Curcă emphasized that approximately 40% of cancer cases can be prevented and that the campaign aims to convey clear messages about the importance of prevention.

The former Minister of Health, Alexandru Rafila, highlighted the need for an integrated approach to cancer prevention, which should include treatment and monitoring networks. The campaign ambassador, Constantina Diţă-Tomescu, promoted sports as an essential part of health. The director of COPAC, Luminiţa Vâlcea, emphasized the importance of trust in building a culture of prevention. The campaign will include medical education actions and strategic partnerships to bring the message of prevention closer to the public. SNOMR will develop educational platforms for doctors and the general public, thus promoting a healthier society.
