On Wednesday, December 17, at 11:07 PM, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.0 shook the extended area of Dubrovnik, according to information provided by the Hina news agency. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Adriatic Sea, near the island of Mljet, at a depth of 10 kilometers, and 16 kilometers off the coast of the town of Ston. The Croatian Seismological Service estimated the intensity at the epicenter at level V on the EMS scale, and the earthquake was significantly felt in the Dubrovnik area. This seismic activity has generated concern among the residents, considering the impact that an earthquake can have on the region.
