Former CCR judge Tudorel Toader said that George Simion can run for president, but he will have to pass constitutional requirements.

Toader emphasized that although Simion can submit his candidacy file with 200,000 signatures, he will have to pass the scrutiny of the BEC or, most likely, the Constitutional Court, because of his profile and status. Toader noted that the ban in two neighboring countries should not matter for a decision in this regard.
