According to Eurostat data, Romania and Hungary tied on inflation, both with annual rates of 5.2% and 5.7%. Although the EU inflation rate fell to 2.7%, Romania reported a slight increase from the previous month. Romanian government policies are considered the main cause, in contrast to Hungary's autocratic regime. The National Bank of Romania revised its inflation forecast for 2025 to 3.8%.
