The Airbus Group has announced the opening of the second assembly line for A320neo family aircraft in Tianjin, China, thus increasing production capacity. This is the 10th Airbus manufacturing line worldwide and will become operational at the beginning of next year. The inauguration took place after the opening of a line in Mobile, Alabama, USA. Airbus CEO Guillaume Faury met with China's Minister of Commerce, Wang Wentao, who emphasized the negative impact of protectionism on global trade.
Airbus reaffirms its commitment to contributing to trade relations between China and Europe. Recently, Airbus surpassed Boeing in narrow-body aircraft sales, with 12,260 deliveries of the A320 model. This achievement marks a significant victory in the 40-year competition for market share in aviation. Airbus continues to increase and expand production in the USA and China, while Boeing gradually recovers production after recent crises. Both companies plan to introduce new models in the next decade, but are awaiting progress in engine technology.
