IGSU issued a RO-Alert message in Botoșani after a possible drone incursion was reported

The General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations issued a RO-Alert message for Botoșani County on Saturday afternoon, informing the public about a possible drone incursion.

Residents were advised to remain calm and take shelter in protected spaces. If there is no shelter nearby, people were urged to stay inside their homes, away from windows and the exterior walls of buildings.

The authorities’ message came a few days after another drone flew over Botoșani County. The aircraft later crashed on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.

So far, the authorities have provided no additional information about the possible incursion reported on Saturday and have not specified whether the drone was identified or whether it actually entered Romanian airspace.
