NIRO Investment Group, led by Nicolae Dumitru, has announced the appointment of Viorica Dancila as president and general director of a private organization established in 1994, which does not represent the Romanian state or the Chinese government. This association, a member of a structure under the auspices of the Chinese Communist Party, plays a role in 'soft diplomacy', facilitating communication and trade relations with China.

Dancila, a former prime minister, will use her experience and network of contacts to promote the commercial interests of the association's members, including those of NIRO Investment Group. She emphasized the importance of developing relations with China and criticized the cumbersome procedures for obtaining visas for Chinese citizens. Her participation in international events, such as the parade in Beijing, reflects her commitment to strengthening economic ties between Romania and China.
