The Infotrafic Center of the Romanian Police reported heavy traffic on several road sections in tourist areas on Sunday afternoon.
Traffic is congested on the A2 Bucharest-Constanta highway, where a road accident involved six cars in the Cernavoda area, resulting in one person being injured and traffic being restricted on lanes 1 and 2.
Additionally, on DN 39 Constanta – Vama Veche and DN 1 in the Prahova Valley, vehicle columns have formed, especially between Nistorești and Comarnic, as well as in the Bușteni resort. Congestion is also reported on DN 7 Râmnicu Vâlcea – Sibiu, in the Călimănești resort, and on DN 39 in Eforie Nord. In contrast, traffic on the A1, A3, and A7 highways is flowing normally.
Police recommend drivers to adjust their speed, maintain distance, and use alternative routes to avoid congestion.
