Serious accident between Techirghiol and Movilița: one dead and two injured

A serious road accident occurred on the road between the towns of Techirghiol and Movilița, Constanța County, after a truck loaded with grain hit a van and a car. The van driver died, while two other people were injured and taken to hospital.

According to sources, the accident may have been caused by one of the truck’s tires bursting. The driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, and the truck hit the van. Subsequently, while overturning, the truck also hit a car. The exact cause is to be established by the authorities.

Two firefighting vehicles, two SMURD crews, an extrication crew and resources from the County Ambulance Service were deployed at the scene. The intervention was launched after the authorities were informed that a person was trapped.

The two injured people were taken to hospital. A woman suffered chest contusions and injuries to her upper limbs, while the other victim was diagnosed with chest trauma and an open fracture to a lower limb. Rescuers are continuing their intervention, while police are investigating to establish the exact circumstances of the accident.
