A driver died after a head-on collision between a truck and a car on DN 11, Brașov

A driver died on Saturday morning after the passenger car he was driving collided head-on with a truck on DN 11 Brașov–Târgu Secuiesc, near the town of Prejmer, Brașov County. Following the impact, road traffic was halted in both directions.

The accident was reported by the INFOTRAFIC Center within the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police. The collision involved a truck and a passenger car, and the passenger car’s driver died.

Police imposed restrictions in the accident area, while traffic is being diverted through the town of Prejmer. Drivers are being directed along the route DN 11 Hărman – DN 10 – Prejmer – DJ 112D – DN 11 Lunca Câlnicului.

Authorities estimated that traffic on DN 11 could resume after 9:00 a.m., depending on the emergency crews’ intervention and the completion of on-site investigations. Police will determine the exact circumstances in which the accident occurred.
