Traffic blocked on DN1, in the Predeal resort area, after a truck's cargo ended up on the roadway

Road traffic is blocked on DN1 Brașov–Ploiești, in the center of the resort of Predeal, Brașov County, following an accident involving a utility vehicle and a tractor-trailer. As a result of the collision, two people in the utility vehicle are receiving medical assistance at the scene.

According to the INFOTRAFIC Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, traffic was stopped to allow the emergency crews to intervene and clear the roadway. The truck was transporting railway sleepers, and the operations to remove the vehicles and the cargo are ongoing.

The authorities have not yet announced the cause of the accident or whether the people receiving medical assistance sustained serious injuries. Drivers are advised to exercise caution, follow the instructions of the police officers at the scene, and take into account the high traffic volumes in the resort. Traffic is expected to resume after the intervention is completed and the roadway is cleared.
