Infotraffic Center warns: fog reduces visibility in 17 counties

The Infotrafic Center warned on Saturday morning that fog is reducing visibility to below 200 meters, and locally even below 50 meters, on roads in 17 counties and on sections of the A1, A2, A3 and A7 motorways.

Roads in the counties of Alba, Argeș, Brașov, Călărași, Cluj, Covasna, Dâmbovița, Dolj, Giurgiu, Harghita, Ialomița, Ilfov, Mureș, Olt, Prahova, Sibiu and Teleorman are affected.

On the A1 Bucharest–Pitești motorway, fog has been reported between kilometers 11 and 36, and 45 and 75, respectively. On the A2 Bucharest–Constanța motorway, problems are occurring between kilometers 10 and 64, while on the A3 Bucharest–Ploiești motorway, they are reported between kilometers 7 and 63. On the A7 Ploiești–Bacău motorway, visibility is reduced on the section between kilometers 21 and 144.

Yellow fog warnings are valid, depending on the area, until 8:00 or 9:00 a.m. Police officers recommend that drivers clean their windows, use the appropriate lights, reduce their speed, keep a greater distance and avoid risky overtaking. Unjustified stopping on traffic lanes or the emergency lane is prohibited.
