Meteorologists announce strong winds in 13 counties and a significant cooling, with rain and snowfall in the mountains until Thursday

Meteorologists have issued a Yellow Code warning for wind, valid on Monday, September 21, between 12:00 and 21:00, in 13 counties. The warning covers Oltenia, central and southern Moldova, the Banat Mountains, and the western half of the Southern Carpathians. Wind gusts will reach 50–70 km/h, while at altitudes above 1,700 meters they may reach 80–90 km/h.

The warning applies to the counties of Caraș-Severin, Hunedoara, Alba, Sibiu, Mehedinți, Gorj, Dolj, Olt, Vâlcea, Bacău, Vrancea, Vaslui, and Galați.

ANM has also issued a weather advisory valid from Monday at 10:00 until Thursday, September 24, at 10:00. Temperatures will drop sharply, falling by 8–12 degrees. Highs will generally range between 14 and 21 degrees, while lows will be between 2 and 11 degrees.

Rain showers are forecast on Monday in the north, center, east, and southeast, followed by other parts of the country, with possible thunderstorms. Rainfall amounts will be 10–15 l/m², and locally 20–30 l/m². In the mountains, especially above 1,700 meters, sleet and snow are expected.

In Bucharest, the weather will remain warm until Tuesday, with temperatures of 28–30 degrees, after which they will fall to 18–20 degrees and showers will develop.
