The unions in the country will go on warning strike on February 10

The COLUMNA-SCOR Federation announced a warning strike on February 10, during which municipalities across the country will protest for two hours. The unionists are demanding a reform of the local budget funding system according to the European Charter of Local Self-Government, calling for real income equalization mechanisms, not the doubling of local taxes and the withdrawal of income tax shares. They criticize government measures that affect the salaries of municipal employees and demand an invitation to negotiations before the adoption of the draft law on local public administration.

The strike will coincide with a meeting of the Prime Minister with the mayors, and the unionists emphasize that the proposed measures are unconstitutional and discriminate against citizens in rural areas. They demand respect for the Constitution and the rights of citizens, as well as the promotion of a new salary law to avoid financial losses from European funds.
