Transylvania Highway: the works on the Topa Mică and Nădășelu viaducts have reached 53%

Cristian Pistol, the general director of CNAIR, provided details about the status of the beam installation at the two viaducts within the Transylvania Highway project. At the Topa Mică Viaduct, 2 km long, the association of Turkish and Romanian builders (Ozaltin–Ilgaz–Visio Construct) has already installed 200 beams, representing half of the total required.

At the Nădășelu Viaduct, with a length of 1.2 km, the first installations have begun, with 18 beams poured out of the 192 needed, using the 'balanced cantilever' method, which requires precision. There are 258 workers and 105 machines mobilized on site, and the physical progress of the works is at 53%. Alongside the beam installation, work is also being done on strengthening the retaining walls and pouring the elevations. The total value of the contract amounts to 995 million lei (excluding VAT), financed through the Transport Program 2021-2027. After the completion of the works, traffic will be continuous on 155 km of highway between Poarta Sălajului and Târgu Mureș. Pistol emphasizes the importance of constant monitoring of the project's progress.
