Works on the modernization of DJ 102I, along the Valea Doftanei–Brădet route, had previously been reported at a physical completion level of approximately one quarter, with specific progress in Prahova County. Workers and machinery were mobilized on the construction site, working on cut and fill retaining walls, gabions, backfills, and culverts, in a context in which the mountainous area imposed execution difficulties.
The project is presented as an important investment for residents’ mobility and for the area’s tourism development, aiming to facilitate a road connection between Valea Doftanei and Brașov County. At the same time, the modernization is described as an alternative route for travel between Prahova and Brașov.
