The General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police recently received two modern patrol vessels, purchased as part of a Romanian-Serbian cross-border project co-financed by the European Union. These vessels, with a total value of 2,528,900 lei, including VAT, will be used on the Danube, in the border area with Serbia, by the structures of the Transport Police Directorate in Mehedinți County.

The project, entitled "Safer Climate in the Romanian-Serbian Border Area", aims to increase safety in this area through investments in infrastructure and modern equipment. The use of these vessels will improve response times in operational missions and will streamline actions carried out on water, contributing to strengthening cross-border cooperation in law enforcement. The project is implemented by several institutions, including the Territorial Inspectorate of the Border Police Timișoara and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Serbia.
