The General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police announced a tender on SEAP for the acquisition of up to 736 vehicles intended for operational work, with a total estimated value of 100,181,152 lei. The framework agreement is divided into new lots, depending on the type of vehicles. The evaluation of the offers will take into account the financial component (40%), the additional engine power (20%), the additional warranty period (20%), fuel consumption (10%), and CO2 emissions (10%). The contract duration is two years, and the deadline for receiving offers is October 5.

The acquisition aims to complete the equipment with high-performance logistical means, adapted to the current needs of the police officers, considering the dynamics of the criminal phenomenon. In the past, IGPR has been involved in controversies related to acquisitions, including a contract with Automobile Bavaria SRL for 600 BMW cars, which faced allegations of dedicated bidding but was classified as legal by the National Anti-Corruption Directorate.
