The draft resolution for the establishment of a parliamentary committee of inquiry regarding sexual abuse in universities was rejected with 189 votes against and 82 in favor. AUR deputy, Gianina Șerban, accused the parliamentary majority of protecting abusers, while USR parliamentarians questioned the morality of the initiators. Criticism was also directed at the need for a new committee, considering the existence of competent institutions that can investigate such cases.
