These behaviors reflect emotional and social vulnerabilities, highlighting the need for additional protective measures. Additionally, the ESPAD 2024 Study highlighted a good psychological health status among Romanian adolescents, with an average score of 63, higher than the European average. However, the Ministry of Education draws attention to the discrepancies between boys and girls and to addictive behaviors.

In this context, the Ministry of Education is working on curricular reforms to integrate mental health into education and is collaborating with UNICEF to promote a healthy school environment. The project aims to integrate social and emotional learning into school culture.
