The mayor of the commune of Livezile, Traian Simionca, was involved in a scandal after several photographs in which he appears to sexually assault a woman went viral on social media. According to the local publication Bistrițeanul, the images were allegedly published by the mayor on WhatsApp, accompanied by the message 'love party', probably by mistake.

Simionca denied the allegations, claiming that the photographs are fake and created with the help of artificial intelligence, and announced that he will contact a lawyer to take legal action against those who have defamed him. The Bistrița County Police Inspectorate stated that it cannot initiate proceedings without a prior complaint from the victim. The mayor did not respond to calls to provide additional details about the incident.
