The hearings in the corruption case at the top of the Romanian Army continue, with the daughter of a general waiting today at the National Anticorruption Directorate (DNA) to provide testimony.
Prosecutors are investigating an agreement between the head of the Army and General Iulian Berdilă, who allegedly requested an increase of 20 budgeted places at the National University of Physical Education and Sport, thus favoring the children of generals. Additionally, witnesses in the case, including representatives of the university, will be heard to clarify the circumstances of this scheme.
General Gheorghiță Vlad, the head of the Army, was heard for two hours and stated that he did not violate the law, promising support in the investigation.
