Stelian Bujduveanu announced that the Government is preparing a government decision that will allow the Capital City Hall to reconstruct the building destroyed in the explosion in the Rahova neighborhood, ensuring that the victims remain owners.

The interim mayor emphasized that the current legislation does not provide procedures for interventions in exceptional situations, such as the recent disaster. After the adoption of the government decision, the City Hall will develop a local intervention plan for the reconstruction of the affected buildings. Bujduveanu mentioned that inspections will be carried out on the gas pipes in Bucharest, focusing on meters and seals, to prevent future tragedies. He also highlighted the importance of unannounced monitoring of gas installations, considering that the explosion in Rahova was caused by a crack in a gas pipe, installed near an electric cable.
