The Mayor of Bucharest, Stelian Bujduveanu, stated that the Capital City Hall will provide temporary housing for those affected by the explosion at the building on Calea Rahovei. In an interview on Antena 3 CNN, he emphasized that the authorities are in contact with law enforcement and local hospitals to manage the situation. Currently, they are focusing on stabilizing the area and rescuing the victims.

Bujduveanu mentioned that the City Hall has emergency housing for such incidents and, if these are not sufficient, will pay rent on the open market to relocate the affected individuals. He also confirmed that the explosion was caused by a gas accumulation, but further details will be provided throughout the day.
