Explosion on a boulevard in Bucharest, near the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police: Two people were injured

Two people were injured in an explosion that occurred on Tuesday on Mihai Vodă Boulevard in central Bucharest, opposite the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police, according to Antena 3 CNN. According to initial information, the blast may have been caused by a gas cylinder.

The explosion was followed by a small fire, which was quickly extinguished by firefighters. The two victims suffered burns over extensive areas of their bodies and were transported to hospital for medical care.

Witnesses reported that, after the blast, a strong smell of smoke was felt in the area.
