The General Prosecutor's Office announced that it has received several complaints from individuals following the broadcast of the Recorder documentary, which highlighted the problems of the judicial system in Romania. These complaints are under review, and the Prosecutor's Office has been asked whether it has initiated proceedings ex officio or if it has opened a criminal case based on the statements of the magistrates in the documentary. Among the accusations are 'destabilization of justice' and 'incitement to actions against the constitutional order'.

The documentary emphasized the difficulties of the judicial system, including the changing composition of the panels at the Bucharest Court of Appeal, which has led to prolonged trials. These issues have allowed certain political and business figures to benefit from acquittals or annulments of sentences. The General Prosecutor's Office, which has taken over the responsibilities of the former Special Section, is investigating the allegations made in the documentary.
