The Friendship Bridge Giurgiu-Ruse will be open without restrictions from December 18, with works suspended for the holidays.

Bulgarian border authorities have announced that the Friendship Bridge Giurgiu-Ruse will operate without restrictions on the section under repair, in the direction towards Romania, until January 8, 2026. This measure has been taken to allow transit under safe conditions, and rehabilitation works will be suspended during this period. Until December 18, traffic will be directed alternately, with traffic lights, due to the works carried out by the Bulgarian side. After the holidays, the works will resume in the direction towards Bulgaria, starting from January 8, 2026.
